we all win when we work together

It takes a small, friendly “village” to produce the Sequim Lavender Weekend each year. That’s you! We are thankful for everyone who works on our collaborative team to make it happen and for all who attend. We are even thankful for those who don’t attend and give great directions or recommendations to visitors to Sequim and our Olympic Peninsula. Everyone is on this team!

At my booth at Purple Haze Lavender Farm, you can paint your own silk scarf by the blooming lavender. Each year visitors create colorful scarves and often return with stories of where the scarves traveled or who received them as gifts. It means a lot to me to hear these accounts.

This year there were more teams who worked collectively on scarves. There was a pack of cousins, husband and wife, and some of my Peninsula College video students who captured movement in a new medium together. It was delightful to watch smiles and dyes mix. Each scarf was filled with different strokes, spills, and colors that all combine to make a unified superhero cape. I mean scarf!

We all win when we work together. Cooperation builds communities. Go Team! Go!
